Fighting for better access to science and education for all – new project at IB PAS

We are pleased to announce that our Institute has received funding from the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 programme for the implementation of the project entitled "IB PAS's entry into accessibility (DOSTEP)". In implementing the project, IB PAS will cooperate with the Foundation of the Institute for Regional Development (FIRR). The project will remove architectural, communication, information and digital barriers to access to science and education for people with special needs due to their health condition (including people with disabilities) who study, work or cooperate with IB PAS or use its services.

During the course of the project (2024–2027), it is planned, among other things, to create an Accessibility Unit (permanently embedded in the IB PAS organisational structure) with a fully architecturally accessible headquarters equipped with assistive technologies, to improve the level of digital accessibility of the IB PAS websites, and to improve the level of information and communication accessibility of the lecture and conference room used by IB PAS doctoral students and staff for educational purposes (including teaching as part of the Doctoral School) and for scientific purposes.
